2018–2021 Marion Body Works Freightliner M2, Marion Body Works International SR525, Marion Body Works Kenworth T3 Series: Fuel System, Diesel recall

NHTSA campaign 22E015000 · 3 units potentially affected · filed Mar 1, 2022

What's wrong

Marion Body Works Inc. (Marion) is recalling certain 2021 Freightliner M2, 2020 Kenworth T3, and 2018 International SR525 emergency vehicles equipped with certain Cummins diesel engines. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high-pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

Why it matters

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

The fix

Cummins service centers will inspect the rail threads and fuel lines, and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 7, 2022. Owners may contact Marion's customer service at 1-715-754-5261. Marion's number for this recall is 20E-032.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
