2022 Braxton Creek Bushwacker, Braxton Creek Bushwacker Plus, Braxton Creek Free Solo: Equipment recall
NHTSA campaign 22V318000 · 4,384 units potentially affected · filed May 10, 2022
What's wrong
Braxton Creek RV (Braxton) is recalling certain 2022 Bushwhacker, Bushwhacker Plus and Free Solo travel trailers. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.
Why it matters
A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
The fix
Dealers will install a plug in place of the quick disconnect, and replace the quick disconnect when available, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 16, 2022. Owners may contact Braxton Creek customer service at 1-260-768-7932.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
