2016–2023 Bugatti Chiron: Electrical System recall
NHTSA campaign 24V096000 · 156 units potentially affected · filed Feb 9, 2024
What's wrong
Bugatti is recalling certain 2016-2023 Bugatti Chiron vehicles. The audible chime may not activate when the vehicle starts, and the driver has not buckled their seat belt. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Why it matters
The driver may be unaware that their seat belt is not fastened, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
